Today on “How They Did It” I feature the internet fashion sensation Jai Nice. Her clothing brand Kloset Envy instantly became popular with a following of over 642,000 people. Her personal brand has a following of 1.3 million people, talk about impressive. Jai shares a little bit of her story with me about how at the age of 18 she developed her first business plan before moving to LA to live with her sister. She started off buy buying and selling vintage clothing. She would invest the money back into the business. First she bought a website then wholesale clothes before moving into designing full time. He never had a stable home from the 7th to 12th grade. He would bounce around friends houses and some nights he would hop on the ferry to Seattle just to sleep there because he didn’t want anyone from his hometown to know he was homeless.

In that article, I made it clear that I am not proposing to have all the answers here, but I know that the current narrative some political activists construct online will cost them the next general election. Accusing people of being stupid because they do not support your party will lose you the election. Incomprehensible polices presented to the common man will lose you the election. Fortunately, there is still time to make compelling stories by adequately utilizing social media.

Timmay talks about how he founded 3 Amigos Media with his friends, the sacrifices he had to make to get to where he is today and how he was able to overcome being a student and acquiring all the equipment needed for his business by sacrificing lunch money and doing part-time jobs. Timmay didn’t finish College like his business partners. He dropped out to focus fully on his company 3AM in late 2014 and ended up finding jobs as a Social Media Coordinator for BTC and Marketing Brand Representative for KALIK. He also grew up on New Providence.
